The flood waters receded and the ark came to rest on the mountain and Noah
told the animals to go forth and multiply. With great anticipation (and a
good bit of pushing and shoving), all the animals but two headed for the
woods.

The stragglers (a couple of snakes) slithered up to Noah and announced,
"We can't go forth and multiply! We're adders!"

"Wait right here," replied Noah. He hopped off the ark and ran down to
the beach, where he picked up a log that had washed ashore. Upon
returning to the ark, he grabbed his saw and hammer and nails and
proceeded to construct a lovely little table which he presented to the
snakes.

"Here," said Noah. "Even adders can multiply with a log table."
